Why not try this Rose Cream recipe to make an extra special present for Valentines Day. They taste divine on their own but would be totally indulgent with cold champagne

Ingredients

285g (10 ounces) Icing Sugar,  well sieved

4 teaspoons Glycerine

2 Teaspoons of Rose Hydrolat or Rose water

1 Teaspoon water

2 drops Rose Otto essential Oil

A few drops of Red food colouring

Sprinkles etc for decorating

Method:

1. Sieve the icing sugar into a bowl

2. In another small bowl mix the glycerine, rosewater, water, essential oil and colouring

3. Slowly add the liquid to the icing sugar taking care not to add too much liquid

4. The mixture should be stiff but pliable

5. Roll out onto a surface dusted with icing sugar

6. Cut out shapes or make into small balls and flatten

7. Place onto a baking sheet

8. Decorate as desired

9. Leave to harden in a warm room for 24 hours

10. Store in an airtight container
